Move to your left lane on the off ramp and turn left at the light. Proceed on W. Diamond to church campus on your left.
I-270 heading SOUTH: EXIT 11, heading south/west, Quince Orchard Road [MD 124].
From the off ramp, turn right onto Quince Orchard Rd. Go on Quince Orchard Road until it intersects Clopper Road [MD 117], left on Clopper, it passes under I-270 and becomes W. Diamond. Proceed on W. Diamond to church campus on your left.
From MD-355 / North Frederick Ave
go West from MD-355 [North Frederick Ave] on W. Diamond St, it is then on the right just after Chestnut Street.

Orchestra Policies in Brief G Clef Sharp Eighth note

This is a short summary of the orchestra's policies on attendance and performances. Please read the full Policies statement and print a copy for your own records.
Rehearsals
  • Regular rehearsals are held Thursday evenings from 7:45 to 10:15 PM at the JCC. Exceptions are noted in the schedule.
  • The pre-concert warm-up starts at 6:30 pm. All members should be on stage ready to play at 6:30 pm.
Concert dress: Basic Black
  • Men: tuxedo with white shirt and black bow tie. A black suit may be substituted for the tuxedo.
  • Women: long black, either slacks or a skirt, with a black shirt or blouse.
Tickets
  • Members of the orchestra are offered an unlimited number of tickets at $10.00 each. Call the box office at 301-348-3872 to place your order, remembering to identify yourselves as orchestra members.
Music
  • All parts are to be signed out on the sheet provided and returned immediately after each concert.
  • If you are absent from a rehearsal, your parts must be available.
  • If your music is not returned immediately after the concert you will be charged full purchase price for all parts.
  • If you must ship your music back to the librarian, we urge you to pay for a shipping service that includes a tracking number. This way, you can verify your music has been received. Yes, we have had problems with first class mail.
Bad Weather
  • Rehearsals will be held whenever possible. If we must cancel a rehearsal, or if the Center is closing, the JCC switchboard will have that information immediately (301-881-0100). We will send out an email to all members on our mailing list, and the JCC's closing information is also broadcasted through the following outlets:
    • Radio: WTOP (103.5 FM) and WMAL (630 AM)
    • TV: NBC-4, FOX-5, ABC-7, CBS-9 or News Channel 8
    If you do not see any news and cannot get through to the JCC's switchboard, you can call Joel, either personnel manager, or the librarian for a report.

    A full explanation of the JCC's various Snow Codes is available, but in short:

    • Code Blue -- rehearsal should not be affected
    • Code Yellow / Orange / Purple -- a decision on rehearsal will be made by 3 p.m.
    • Code Red -- Center is closed, rehearsal is canceled.
  • If you must miss a rehearsal due to weather, please notify the music director or the appropriate personnel manager immediately and make sure your music is available if needed.
